We would like to thank you for this opportunity to introduce to you Hoops 4 Hope. Hoops for Hope is a not for profit organization currently providing after-school programs that brings basketball, HIV prevention and life skills to over 10,000 children a year in 150 schools and shelters around South Africa and Zimbabwe. Their programs train talented and deserving local coaches, build courts, run practices and tournaments, and feed children who live in communities hit hard by poverty, crime and HIV/AIDS.

Hoops 4 Hope is doing much more than just playing sport; they are empowering children to become productive adults, engage in healthy lifestyles and become leaders within their communities. Hoops 4 Hope is proud to announce that their hard work and innovative programs are gaining the recognition of the UN, educators, HIV professionals, and the NBA alike. Through their groundbreaking HIV prevention curriculum and exciting basketball leagues and events, H4H remains focused on using sport as a vehicle to change the behavior of young people in the face of this devastating epidemic and tackle the many challenges of growing up in modern Africa.

Hoops4Hope Canada is involved in raising awareness and funding to support our programs. As part of our fundraising initiative, we are asking for donations to help ship a 40 foot container to South Africa with used equipment and team sets of jerseys. Our goal is to raise $10,000.
